  • Six-year-old Michael Myers murders his older sister, Judith Myers, on Halloween night.
  • Michael Myers is sent to Warren County's Smith's Grove Sanitarium for the next fifteen years, where he is mainly under the care of Dr. Samuel Loomis.

EVENTS OF 'HALLOWEEN' TAKE PLACE

Film Timeline:
  • Begins late on Monday, October 30, 1978 - Ends late on Tuesday, October 31, 1978
  • Film begins all timelines, except for the "Zombie" timeline

EVENTS OF 'HALLOWEEN II' TAKE PLACE

Film Timeline:
  • Begins late on Tuesday, October 31, 1978 - Ends early on Wednesday, November 1, 1978
  • Film ends the "Old-School" timeline but branches off to the "Thorn" timeline and the "First Strode Reset" timeline
  • 'Halloween' and 'Halloween II' can still work as a stand-alone project, following the original plan to make the series an anthology
