1935:
  • Camp Crystal Lake is established by the Christy family
September, 1941:

Thursday, June 13, 1946:
  • Birthday: Jason Voorhees
Summer, 1957:
  • Pamela Voorhees is given the job of cook at Camp Crystal Lake
Friday, September 13, 1957:
  • It is assumed that Jason Voorhees drowns as a result of ignorant camp counsellors. The body is never found, however, and based on personal theory, he continues to be cared for secretively by his mother, who keeps him away from any sort of socialization or human contact
Friday, June 13, 1958:
  • (As seen in the opening of 'Friday the 13th', 1980) One year after the supposed drowning of her son, Pamela Voorhees takes her frustrations for the counsellor's ignorance the previous year out on the current counsellors, having gone mad. Again, based on personal theory only, I assume she taught her son that camp counsellors, or perhaps even people in general, are bad and deserve death
  • In the following years, Camp Crystal Lake is officially shut down due to the murders until 1979
1959:

Between 1960-61:

1962:
  • An attempt is made to reopen Camp Crystal Lake, but efforts are halted due to toxins in the water. Between this, the unsolved murders in 1958, and Jason Voorhees' apparent drowning, the camp is nicknamed by the locals as "Camp Blood" and believed to have a "death curse" on it

  • Birthday: Chris Higgins ('Part 3')
1965:
  • Birthday: Trish Jarvis ('Final Chapter')

FRIDAY THE 13th ('80)

Film Timeline:
  • Opens with Pamela Voorhees' original killing spree in 1958
  • Begins on Wednesday, June 13, 1979 - Ends early on Thursday, June 14, 1979
  • These dates do not match the suggested on-screen date of Friday, June 13, 1980, but several sources seem to have retconned these events to take place in 1979, including Pamela Voorhees' gravestone in 'The Final Chapter' which marks 1979 as her year of death.
  • Pamela Voorhees is killed by beheading by Alice Hardy, and due to a hallucination in the aftermath, Alice Hardy believes a child version of Jason Voorhees to be at the camp.

POST-FRIDAY THE 13th/PRE-FRIDAY THE 13th PART 2

August, 1979:
  • (As seen in the opening of 'Friday the 13th Part 2') Alice Hardy is released from the sanitarium after her encounter with Pamela Voorhees, and she decides to head back to Crystal Lake in an attempt to conquer her fears.
  • Alice Hardy is soon found and killed by Jason Voorhees, clearly grown up, lending to the idea that the child she saw as Jason Voorhees wasn't actually real, and probably a product of her imagination through a combination of a terrible amount of trauma and the local campfire stories of Jason Voorhees
1980:
  • Birthday: Tina Shepard ('New Blood')
  • Birthday: Rennie Wickham ('Manhattan')
Summer, 1982:
  • (As seen in 'Friday the 13th Part 3') Chris Higgins ('Part 3') gets in a fight with her parents and runs away into the woods nearby. There, she is attacked by Jason Voorhees, but survives after having passed out. Her parents refuse to speak about the encounter with her, and she becomes apprehensive about ever returning to her family's summer home of "Higgins Haven"

FRIDAY THE 13th PART 2

Film Timeline:
  • Opens with the fate of Alice Hardy
  • Central story begins on Thursday, July 12, 1984 - Ends early on Saturday, June 14, 1984
  • Among Jason Voorhees' victims is Sandra Dier, sister to Rob Dier, who ill be later introduced in 'The Final Chapter'
  • Ginny Field survives the attacks, but Paul Holt's fate is officially unknown, although an apparent deleted scene does show his death. The characters never return to the series

FRIDAY THE 13th PART 3

Film Timeline:
  • Begins late on Saturday, June 14, 1984 - Ends early on Monday, July 16, 1984
  • Film introduces us to Chris Higgins, who is trying to get over her fears of the camp area after the incident two years prior
  • Jason Voorhees receives his first of many signature hockey masks from victim Shelly Finkelstein
  • Chris Higgins survives the attacks at the cost of losing her mind. She never returns to the series

FRIDAY THE 13th: THE FINAL CHAPTER

Film Timeline:
  • Begins late on Monday, July 16, 1984 - Ends sometime after Wednesday, July 18, 1984
  • Film introduces us to siblings Tommy Jarvis and Trish Jarvis. Despite the idea that the series was to end here, Tommy Jarvis would go on to become the series' central hero.
  • Film also introduces us to Rob Dier, who comes to the area to look for his sister, Sandra Dier, who, unbeknownst to him, was killed in 'Part 2'.
  • Trish Jarvis also survives the attacks, but she never returns to the series
  • Tommy Jarvis kills Jason Voorhees sometime late on Wednesday, July 18, 1984, but the film ends an unknown time later, as we see Tommy Jarvis admitted to the psychiatric hospital

POST-FINAL CHAPTER/PRE-NEW BEGINNING

Unestablished dates following the events of 'Final Chapter':
  • Jason Voorhees is buried in the Eternal Peace Cemetary and finally laid to rest. However several locals are given the misunderstanding that he had been cremated
  • Suffering severe trauma at the hands of Jason Voorhees, Tommy Jarvis spends the next 4-5 years being moved to several different institutions
Between 1985 and 1988:
  • County officials change the name of the town and campground from "Crystal Lake" to "Forest Green" in an attempt to distance the town from the horrific murders

FRIDAY THE 13th PART V: A NEW BEGINNING

Film Timeline:
  • Begins on an unspecified date in early October 1989 - Ends early on Friday, October 13, 1989
  • Jason Voorhees does not appear in this film and is instead replaced with copycat killer Roy Burns, who goes on a killing spree after his son Joey Burns is murdered by fellow patient Victor J. Faden
  • Tommy Jarvis, Pamela Roberts and Reggie Winter survive the attacks, but Tommy Jarvis will be the only character to return to the series from this film

JASON LIVES: FRIDAY THE 13th PART VI

Film Timeline:
  • Begins late on Thursday, July 12, 1990 - Ends late on Friday, July 13, 1990
  • Based on personal theory, the film marks when Jason Voorhees, once human until he was killed by Tommy Jarvis in 'The Final Chapter,' now comes back as an unstoppable, supernatural monster
  • Tommy Jarvis and Megan Garris survive the attacks, but neither return to the series

POST-JASON LIVES/PRE-NEW BLOOD

October 13, 1990:
  • As a child, Tina Shepard uses her telekinetic abilities against her father, John Shepard, after an argument and accidentally kills him by burying him under a dock
Between 1990 and 1993:
  • Tina Shepard spends the next few years being treated at a psychiatric hospital where she presumably meets Dr. Crews, who takes more of an interest in her telekinetic abilities than her mental health
  • "Forest Green" is reverted back to "Crystal Lake" after the Forest Green murders take place
Summer of 1993:
  • Renee Wickham nearly drowns at Crystal Lake when her uncle, Charles McCulloch, pushes her in from their boat. She is attacked by Jason Voorhees and sees him as a child due to her empathetic abilities. As a result, she becomes aqua-phobic

FRIDAY THE 13th PART VII: THE NEW BLOOD

Film Timeline:
  • Begins on Friday, June 13, 1997 - Ends on Sunday, June 15, 1997
  • Tina Shepard remains the only series heroine to use supernatural abilities against Jason Voorhees, although 'Jason Takes Manhattan' also establishes supernatural abilities for Renee Wickham. Although supernatural elements resurrect Jason Voorhees in 'Jason Lives,' this film establishes a new, far more supernatural path for the series
  • Tina Shepard and Nick Rogers survive the attacks but never return to the series

FRIDAY THE 13th PART VIII: JASON TAKES MANHATTAN

Film Timeline:
  • Begins and ends on undetermined dates in May, 1998
  • The only film of the series that is in no way attached to the date of Friday the 13th. Technically, 'Part 3' and 'Final Chapter' continue the story from Friday, June 13th, 1984, featured in 'Part 2'
  • Rennie Wickham and Sean Robertson survive the attacks but never return to the series

POST-JASON TAKES MANHATTAN/PRE-JASON GOES TO HELL

  • After Jason Voorhees runs amok in Manhattan, NYC, the attention of the FBI is finally grabbed, and they plan to put a stop to him once and for all if he ever returns

JASON GOES TO HELL: THE FINAL FRIDAY

Film Timeline:
  • Begins on Thursday, June 12, 2003 - Ends on Friday, June 13, 2003
  • Further family of Jason Voorhees is established, including his half-sister, Diana Voorhees Kimble, her daughter, Jessica Kimble and granddaughter, Stephanie Kimble
  • It is established that Jason Voorhees' power has been coming from a heart-possessing demon, which further embodies characters Phil Hant, Deputy Josh, Robert Campbell and Randy Parker
  • Jessica Kimble, Stephanie Kimble and Steven Freeman survive the attacks but never return to the series
  • Film essentially ends with the beginning to 'Freddy vs Jason'

FREDDY vs JASON

Film Timeline:
  • Opens with Freddy Krueger finding Jason Voorhees in Hell and resurrecting him to attack people in Springwood, Ohio, in an attempt to remind them of the nightmares Freddy Krueger once delivered
  • Begins late on Sunday, September 14, 2003 - Ends early on Tuesday, September 16, 2003
  • Both Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees survive their battle with each other, but this marks Freddy Krueger's final on-screen appearance apart from the 2010 reboot
  • Lori Campbell and Will Rollins survive the attacks, and neither would return for either series.

POST-FREDDY vs JASON/PRE-JASON X

December, 2008:
  • Jason Voorhees is captured by the Camp Crystal Lake Research Facility
  • Jason Voorhees is convicted of over two hundred murders in his career at this time, making most of them off-screen kills
  • Impossible to execute, Jason Voorhees is sedated, shackled and left under guard until researchers can find out how best to deal with him

JASON X

Film Timeline:
  • Begins on Friday, August 13, 2010 - Ends on Friday, August 13, 2455 (Earth Time)
  • It is decided that Jason Voorhees is to be cryogenically frozen until research can figure out how to kill him
  • During an escape attempt, Jason Voorhees becomes frozen as planned but does so along with researcher Rowan LaFontaine by accident
  • Lori Campbell and Will Rollins survive the attacks, and neither would return for either series.
