The night before Halloween, two best friends, Dougie (Noah Plener) and Kevin (Maxwell Medeiros), take a risk at vandalizing the house of an older woman (Ann Page), who has become a sort of local creepy shut-in. The kids fail when they accidentally hit her face with shaving cream. The following night, they head out for trick-or-treating and risk going to the same woman's home. She answers and hands them a wooden vulture claw that can grant wishes. But it's not long before the boys get more than they bargained for.

Although I mention 'The Lonely Ghost' as a go-to for an introduction to this series, this one is just as good, if not better, especially with its Halloween backdrop. Throughout the episode, we also get more humour than usual, balancing the somewhat darker side of things. Without the episode getting over the top with any characters, I recommend this stand-out episode for anyone looking for something more family-friendly for a quick Halloween watch. It's also a solid trip down nostalgia lane that reminds us exactly what made this show so much fun when we were kids.
