What is Take 5 Reviews?
"Take 5 Reviews" is a movie review blog that focuses on reviews as an everyday individual, and overall fan of film. I am not, nor have I ever claimed to be an "expert" on the subject. I have not attended film school, nor do I have have a heavy background in the subject matter. I am simply an individual who loves to be entertained, and I try to see the good in movies.
As a result of this, "Take 5 Reviews" is not in any way professional, nor do I get payed in any way for my write-ups. I do this mainly as a hobby, as I'm writing about a subject matter that I love, and it helps me practice some of my writing for potentially bigger projects somewhere down the line. This site is meant for the "every-person" who asks "can you let me know how that movie is?," and wants an answer that isn't automatically negative, as many critics tend to be.
"Take 5 Reviews" has gone through many incarnations over the years, and is currently focused on movies stemming from 2023 and on. I go by a loose "Review Schedule," but bear in mind that even though some reviews may not always be perfectly on time, they will eventually get completed. Some pages are constantly going through various upgrades over time, such as the "Hallway of Horror," or the "Realm of MCU," which will have constant movies added to them as time goes on.

Why Movies?
I'm not entirely sure what the first thing I ever saw in a movie theatre was, but I can say that the first movie I remember seeing was 'Flight of the Navigator,' released August of 1986, which would have made me just barely four years old. It's one of my earliest, most fun memories, and it even includes a controversial "happy" look at the now infamous 'Song of the South,' with Uncle Remus (James Baskett) singing "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah" before the movie started.
Over the years, I'd see a handful of movies with friends and sometimes, at least in my younger days, accompanying parents
